Pixies in Boxes

1   Measure all surfaces across the lid (i.e. inside edge: 1 cm, outside edge: 1.5 cm, lid width: 5 cm, outside edge: 1.5 cm, inside edge: 1 cm = 10 cm in total.. Add 1 mm for each fold = 4 mm; i.e. 10.4 cm in total.) This is one measurement. Measure in the same fashion in the other direction . (In this example the lid is a square, so the paper should measure 10.4 x 10.4 cm.)

2   Copy the measurements onto the design paper.

3   Attach the lid to the middle of the design paper using decoupage lacquer or VTR glue. Apply glue to the edges.

4   Cut a small wedge and press the design paper towards the edge.

5   Fold the corner of the design paper with a bone folder.

6   Fold towards the middle.

7   Trim the corners.

8   Apply glue to the flap.

9   And in the corners.

10   Fold around the edge.

11   Paint the cone with bordeaux paint.

12   Thread the gold thread through the tip of the cone and tie a knot.

13   Attach the head using a glue gun.

14   Attach the hat using a glue gun. Finish with a knitted tube for the scarf.
