Christmas houses for hanging decorated with metallic paint and glitter

1 Paint the papier-mâché houses with Art Metal paint and leave to dry.

2 Paint the indentations in the windows and the door in a different colour Art Metal paint.

3 Make the roof for the house by cutting a sheet of foam rubber using the templates which are available as a PDF file on this page. The foam rubber is self-adhesive once the backing paper is removed. Please note that the papier-mâché houses are handmade and may vary in shape and size. Therefore, the templates are only meant as a guide. Trim the foam rubber roof to fit the house.

4 Cut a small hole in the middle of the foam rubber sheet so that you can fit the string for hanging and/or the chimney through the hole. Remove the backing paper to stick the foam rubber onto the house.

5 Fold in the edges of the foam rubber.

6 Finish by decorating with glitter glue around the windows, the door and the roof, adding small details.
