Come farlo

Use an appropriately sized mould depending on the size of the foot or hand you want an imprint of. We used a papier-mâché box measuring 21.5 x 10 cm, H: 5 cm for this imprint of a child's foot. Line the box with ordinary clingfilm.

Pour water into a bucket and sprinkle plaster compound slowly until it forms a peak at the surface of the water. Leave it for about 8 min.

Stir well until air bubbles form on the surface. NB: Plaster generates heat during hardening (the larger the quantity, the greater the heat).

To make the hole for hanging, push a glue stick into the top of the plaster mixture. (Support the glue stick during drying). Make the imprint of the hand or the foot in the wet plaster. Leave to dry for approx. 1 hour, remove the shape from the mould and tie a piece of leather cord through the hole.
