A Candy Stripe Friendship Bracelet

1.   Cut three pieces of cotton cord, each measuring approx. 3m. Double over and tie a knot at the top, leaving a loop.

2.   Attach the cords; i.e. the loop at the top of the cords to a clip board and spread out the cords.

3.   Place the outer right cord over the lace next to it, feed it underneath the loop and pull.

4.   Tie another knot and pull.

5.   Place the outer left cord over the cord next to it, feed it underneath the loop and pull. Tie two knots following the described procedure.

6.   Continue like this until two knots are made on all the cords.

7.   Repeat with the outer right cord moving towards the left, tie two knots etc.

9.   Tie two knots to the two outer cords on the right and on the left side, creating a fairly straight edge in both sides.

10.   Arrange the cords in pairs and plait.

11.   Bend over the finished plait and tie a knot, creating a loop.

12.   Glue the end safely in place. This loop becomes part of the bracelet's fastener.

13.   Cut off the excess cords.

14.   At the other end tie a couple of knots on top of each other. Together they form the knot (button) to be used for fastening the bracelet in the loop at the other end.
